Anti-Trump protesters rally across US

Dozens of protesters took to the streets in Washington, D.C., and other cities across the United States on Saturday to demonstrate against President Donald Trump’s policies on deportation, mass government layoffs, and U.S. involvement in the conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine.

News footage captured scenes of demonstrators outside the White House holding signs with messages such as “Workers should have the power,” “No kingship,” “Stop arming Israel,” and “Due process.”

Protesters voiced support for migrants facing deportation under Trump’s administration, as well as solidarity with federal workers who have been dismissed and universities threatened with funding cuts.

“We are organizing resistance networks to protect our communities as the Trump administration expands deportation efforts,” one protester said.

Others displayed Palestinian flags and wore keffiyehs, chanting “Free Palestine” and honoring those killed during Israel’s military operations in Gaza. There were also demonstrators showing support for Ukraine, calling on the U.S. to take a firmer stance against Russian aggression.

According to DAILY POST, since Trump’s return to the White House on January 20, his administration—alongside billionaire supporter Elon Musk—has slashed the federal workforce by over 200,000 and targeted numerous government agencies for dismantling.

Additionally, many foreign students have been detained, and universities have faced threats of losing federal funds due to their diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, climate initiatives, or support for pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

Near the Washington Monument, banners read: “Hate never made any nation great” and “Equal rights for all does not mean less rights for you.”

Similar protests reportedly occurred in cities such as New York and Chicago, among many others, marking the second day of nationwide demonstrations since Trump resumed office.
