Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vacated the Government House in Port Harcourt, along with his family and security personnel.
Reports suggest that Fubara departed the premises on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, security presence at the Government House remains limited, with only a few operatives stationed there.
Despite these events, daily life in Port Harcourt continues as usual, with residents going about their routines.
On Tuesday, President Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, citing the legislative arm’s dysfunction as the reason. He appointed Retired Vice-Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas to oversee the state’s administrative duties.
