Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may fail to produce a presidential candidate for the 2027 election if it does not take urgent action.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele emphasized that the party must retrace its steps, claiming that sinister forces are working to completely destroy it.
Even if the PDP manages to present a legally recognized candidate, he predicted, the party would suffer a humiliating defeat.
“If PDP does not take precautions, it will not only lose in 2027 but also fail to secure even a second or third-place finish. There are dark forces that will continue to weaken the party unless it wakes up and takes decisive action,” he warned.
Ayodele urged the PDP to turn to God, stating that the party is deteriorating rapidly, and those capable of rescuing it are either unwilling to act or ignoring the necessary reforms.
“They must seek divine intervention, or the party will not survive 2027. PDP is collapsing, and key figures who could save it are not listening. In states like Lagos, their candidate will stand no chance. If care is not taken, the party might not even be able to field a candidate due to a spiritual affliction, and more prominent members will continue to defect,” he added.
However, he noted that PDP still has a 91-day window to begin restoring itself; otherwise, only divine mercy could revive it.
“The party has 91 days to start its recovery process because a spirit of hatred and rejection has been cast upon it. Without God’s mercy, PDP’s resurgence will be nearly impossible,” he concluded.
