President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has dismissed the claims made by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, during his recent television interview.
Bwala criticized El-Rufai’s remarks, describing them as a disorganized mix of incoherent statements intended to misrepresent the truth.
During an interview on Arise Television on Monday evening, El-Rufai took aim at Tinubu and his administration, alleging that the president, not the National Assembly, was responsible for blocking his ministerial appointment.
In August 2023, the Senate refused to confirm El-Rufai as a minister, citing security concerns raised by the State Security Service. However, El-Rufai dismissed this as a mere pretext, questioning why the supposed security report had never been made public.
The former governor also expressed uncertainty about supporting Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, arguing that the president had failed to meet expectations for national progress.
Reacting to the interview, Bwala refuted El-Rufai’s statements, accusing him of attempting to rewrite history for personal gain.
In a post on X, Bwala wrote: “@elrufai Mallam El-Rufai’s interview on Arise News was full of word salad—an incoherent mix of disorganized statements meant to distort the truth and reshape history.
“His philosophy is simple: if it’s not about him, then everyone else must suffer for his ambition. Believe him at your own risk.”
