Billionaire singer Rihanna has spoken out after a Los Angeles jury acquitted her partner, A$AP Rocky, of charges related to assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
The rapper had been facing two felony counts stemming from a 2021 altercation with his former childhood friend, Terell Ephron (A$AP Relli).
As the not-guilty verdicts were announced on Tuesday, Rihanna was overcome with emotion, shedding tears in the courtroom.
Rocky immediately embraced his family, including Rihanna, and shared a heartfelt moment with his attorney, Joe Tacopina.
Celebrating the outcome on Instagram, Rihanna expressed her gratitude, writing:
“The glory belongs to God and God alone! Thankful, humbled by His mercy.”
Had he been convicted, Rocky faced a potential 24-year prison sentence.
