The Obi of Onitsha, His Royal Majesty Nnaemeka Achebe, has raised concerns about the pervasive corruption in Nigeria, describing it as “milking the country dry.”
Achebe cautioned that if the political class and leaders persist in this practice, the nation risks collapse. He called on them to prioritize the nation’s well-being over personal interests.
The monarch made these remarks in Abuja during the public presentation of Bold Leap, a book authored by Senator Chris Anyanwu.
Achebe stated:
“If we continue milking the cow, it will die. Since independence, this country has been stuck in a cycle of endless talk without meaningful action.”
