The Federal Government has assured the public that it is actively working to enhance the welfare of minors arrested for their alleged involvement in the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests.
This information was shared in a statement by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, on Friday.
Earlier that day, several minors who were brought to court in Abuja collapsed, appearing malnourished after three months of detention.
The court subsequently ordered their release on bail, set at N10 million each.
In response, Olawande stated that the ministry is “collaborating with the Ministry of Interior to clarify the facts surrounding the situation and to improve the well-being of the detained youths, not only in this case but across all custodial facilities in the country.”
The statement emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to protecting the interests and welfare of young Nigerians, wherever they may be.
