BREAKING: New Prices Emerge as Tinubu Gov’t Increases Petrol Pump Rates

President Bola Tinubu’s administration has once again raised the price of petrol. The latest adjustment by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) means that residents in Lagos will now pay N1,025 per litre, while those in Abuja will face a price of N1,060 per litre.

This change follows a previous price of N1,030 in Abuja and N998 in Lagos at NNPCL stations in October, with other outlets charging between N1,150 and N1,200 per litre. As of Tuesday morning, the updated prices were visible at NNPCL stations in both cities. Since President Tinubu took office on May 29, 2023, and ended the fuel subsidy, petrol prices have surged from N145 to over N1,000.
