Helicopter Crash: NNPCL gives update on recovery efforts

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced that, aside from the three bodies recovered from the East Winds Aviation helicopter crash in Port Harcourt on Thursday, no additional bodies have been found. Earlier this week, around eight people lost their lives when the helicopter ditched into the waters of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and three bodies were later retrieved from the scene.

In an update on Sunday, NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye stated that five bodies remain missing and that search and rescue efforts are being intensified. “Our hearts and prayers are with the families affected by this tragic incident,” he said.
