Serve with diligence, fear of God – Governor Namadi charges new judges in Jigawa

Governor Mallam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has charged newly appointed High Court judges and a Shari’a Court of Appeal Khadi to serve with diligence and fear of Allah.

Namadi gave the charge on Monday after the swearing in of the new judges.

The High Court judges are Barrister Nilfa Abdullahi Gambo and Barrister Mohammed L. Usman, while Mallam Mukhtar Shu’aibu Adamu is the newly appointed Khadi.

Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony, Namadi said all the appointments were based on merit, adding that the new appointees made the state proud as they excelled during the selection interview.

He revealed that the National Judicial Council, NJC, had confirmed that Jigawa State’s judges selection process was the best in the country.

According to him, the state government decided to remain neutral during the selection process in order to ensure a credible selection of the best candidates.

He expressed confidence in the judges’ ability to dispense justice fairly and impartially, thereby contributing to the overall development and stability of the state.
