Peseiro reveals Super Eagles goalkeeper that will start against Lesotho

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has discussed the goalkeeping situation within the team ahead of Thursday’s World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.

There have been suggestions for Francis Uzoho to be replaced following a series of errors in recent matches. The Omonia SC goalkeeper made two mistakes in matches against Saudi Arabia and Mauritania, prompting discontent among fans.

However, addressing the media, Peseiro affirmed that Uzoho remains his first-choice goalkeeper. He mentioned, “Uzoho is our goalkeeper, Okoye, Ojo, Amas, and Adeleye are our goalkeepers. I am not foolish; I want to field the best players, but it is about my confidence in them.”
