Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Bassey has responded to the news of an Irish chef, Alan Fisher, based in Japan, breaking two Guinness World Records for the longest cooking marathon performed by an individual.
Earlier, it was reported that Alan Fisher, an Irish restaurant owner and chef residing in Japan, achieved two Guinness World Records for cooking marathons. He cooked continuously for 119 hours and 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 93 hours and 11 minutes, which had been set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci earlier this year. Additionally, he broke the record for the longest baking marathon, baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes, surpassing the prior record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
In response to this achievement, Hilda Baci expressed her congratulations on her social media page, writing, “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119 hours and 57 minutes is a remarkable accomplishment, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder.
