Barcelona midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan, expressed his frustration with his teammates, accusing them of lacking passion, following their loss to Real Madrid in the Clasico.
Real Madrid came from behind to defeat Barcelona 2-1 on Saturday.
Gundogan scored an early goal for Barcelona, but Jude Bellingham netted twice in the second half to secure the victory for Real Madrid.
“After leaving the dressing room, it’s clear that people are disappointed after such a significant and crucial game with an unexpected outcome.
“I would like to see more anger, more disappointment.
“I didn’t join this team to lose games like these or to allow such gaps to develop. As a senior player, I also have a responsibility to prevent such occurrences within the team. We need to show more resilience,” Gundogan stated in an interview with Optus Sport.
As a result of the loss, Barcelona now lags behind Real Madrid by four points in La Liga after 11 games.
