Serie A: Osimhen angry with Napoli owner over contract comments

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is feeling frustrated due to recent statements made about his contract situation at the club by owner Aurelio De Laurentiis. In an interview with Mediaset, Laurentiis discussed the possibility of selling Osimhen, who has less than two years left on his current contract.

Osimhen has not yet committed to a new contract, even though there was a verbal agreement with the Serie A champions. According to GIFN, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, is displeased with De Laurentiis’ comments. Both the agent and the player are considering a move away from Naples.

The relationship between the Nigeria international and the Serie A champions had already been strained following the posting of TikTok videos by the club last month. Additionally, Osimhen is currently sidelined due to a thigh injury he sustained while on international duty last weekend. Despite the challenges, he has managed to score six goals in 10 appearances across all competitions for Rudi Garcia’s side this season.
