Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello of conspiring to assassinate her.
She made the shocking revelation while addressing her supporters, who welcomed her enthusiastically during her homecoming on Tuesday.
According to Akpoti-Uduaghan, although the alleged plot was not publicly disclosed, the Nigeria Police Force has already been informed.
She claimed that Akpabio initiated her recall process, allegedly after promising Yahaya Bello financial support to carry it out.
Details of the Alleged Plot
“On March 13 at 10:00 pm, just two days earlier, Akpabio called Governor Ododo, instructing him to begin my recall. However, Ododo refused, saying it would be impossible because the masses support me,” she alleged.
“Akpabio then reached out to Yahaya Bello, and I was informed of the entire conversation. The meeting had two objectives: first, to initiate my recall process and fund it; second, to eliminate me.
“I didn’t make this public at first, but I have officially notified the Inspector General of Police.
“Akpabio allegedly instructed Bello to ensure that if anything happened to me, it should not be in Abuja but rather in my home state, so it would appear as if the people were responsible for my death,” she claimed.
