Edo Killings: Akpabio Condemns Gruesome Murder Of Travellers, Seeks Justice To Assuage Pains

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has condemned the brutal murder of 16 travelers in Edo State, calling it a senseless act of violence that is completely unacceptable in society.

In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by his Special Assistant on Media, Jackson Udom, Akpabio expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident.

“I am deeply saddened and disturbed by the gruesome killing of 16 travelers in Edo State. Such a senseless act of violence is unacceptable and has no place in our society,” he stated.

He urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that the perpetrators of the barbaric act are identified, prosecuted, and held accountable.

“As a nation, we must unite to foster peace, unity, and understanding. We cannot allow such violent acts to divide us or hinder our collective efforts to build a better Nigeria,” he added.

Extending his condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Edo State, and all those affected, Akpabio prayed for the departed souls and strength for their loved ones to endure the irreparable loss.
