The Jigawa State Government has designated 35 hectares of land in Tsohon Kafi, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, for the construction of a modern shooting range.
The spokesperson for the Jigawa State Police Command, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, revealed this in a statement issued to DAILY POST.
According to him, the project aims to improve security training and marksmanship for law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and other security operatives.
Shiisu emphasized that this initiative aligns with Governor Umar Namadi’s commitment to enhancing security and defense capabilities across the state.
He further explained that the shooting range would provide a controlled and secure environment for security personnel to carry out training exercises and tactical drills.
“This facility will not only support our security forces but also offer training programs to enhance the preparedness of personnel in tackling crime and ensuring public safety,” he stated.
DAILY POST reports that strengthening security across Jigawa State is a key component of Governor Umar Namadi’s twelve-point agenda.
