Kendrick Lamar breaks Beyoncé’s record on Billboard charts

Rapper Kendrick Lamar has set a new record for the most simultaneous #1s across Billboard charts in a single week, achieving 24 top spots.

The previous record of 23 #1s was held by singer Beyoncé, who reached the milestone two years ago with the release of her critically acclaimed album Renaissance.

Since mid-last year, Lamar has experienced a surge in commercial success, partly fueled by his highly publicized hip-hop rivalry with Canadian rapper Drake.

His latest album, GNX, currently holds the top position on the Billboard 200 chart, while his song Luther, featuring SZA, remains at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third consecutive week.
