Trump confirms ICE arrest of radical pro-Hamas student Mahmoud Khalil

President Donald Trump has confirmed that the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, has arrested Mahmoud Khalil, a foreign pro-Hamas student, on the campus of Columbia University.

Trump stated that Khalil’s arrest is the first of many to come, stressing that his administration will not tolerate individuals engaging in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, or anti-American activities.

In a post on his Truth Social handle, the US President asserted that those who support terrorism, including the killing of innocent men, women, and children, are not welcome in the United States.

Trump wrote: “Following my previously signed Executive Orders, ICE proudly apprehended and detained Mahmoud Khalil, a Radical Foreign Pro-Hamas Student on the campus of Columbia University.

“This is the first arrest of many to come. We know there are more students at Columbia and other universities across the country who have engaged in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, anti-American activity, and the Trump Administration will not tolerate it.

“Many of them are not students but paid agitators. We will find, apprehend, and deport these terrorist sympathisers from our country—never to return again. If you support terrorism, including the slaughter of innocent men, women, and children, your presence is contrary to our national and foreign policy interests, and you are not welcome here.

“We expect every college and university in America to comply. Thank you!”
