First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed her condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in a fire outbreak at an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, on Tuesday night.
The Zamfara State Police confirmed that 17 almajiris (street children) died in the incident, while 17 others sustained injuries in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.
In a statement on Thursday, Senator Tinubu also extended her sympathies to Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, over the tragic event.
*”I pray that Allah grants comfort to the bereaved families and gives them the strength to endure this painful loss.
“This unfortunate incident highlights the importance of implementing precautionary safety measures in all public facilities.
“I pray that such a tragedy never happens again, not just in Zamfara but anywhere in Nigeria.
“May Allah grant the souls of the departed Aljannah Firdaus,”* she said.
