Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, who represents Ondo South in the National Assembly, has claimed that several governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties are planning to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking on Channels Television, Ibrahim stated that many individuals had already joined the APC, with more expected to follow in the coming weeks.
When asked whether internal criticism of APC policies was beneficial for the party and the Tinubu administration, he dismissed the concern as a “one-sided argument.” He pointed out that attention was not being given to those leaving the PDP to join the APC, citing the example of Nyesom Wike, who, despite being a PDP member, serves in the APC-led government.
He further questioned how many governors, senators, and other politicians had already switched allegiance or were planning to do so. While he declined to name specific governors to avoid embarrassment, he confidently asserted that in his next appearance on the program, a governor would have crossed over to the APC.
