Tinubu appoints Ganduje as FAAN Board chairman

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former Governor of Kano State and current National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the Chairperson of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) board.

The appointment was announced in a statement on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

In his new role, Ganduje will oversee FAAN’s board, a key agency tasked with managing and developing airports across Nigeria.

With a long career in public service and governance, Ganduje’s tenure as Kano State governor was notable for its infrastructural projects and his significant political influence within the APC.
