Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed agitator for Biafra, has had his assets frozen by Finnish authorities amidst ongoing terrorism-related allegations. Ekpa has been in detention for several weeks as investigations continue.
According to Sahara Reporters, Finnish officials have also frozen the assets of companies linked to Ekpa and four of his associates, who remain in remand. Local newspaper Yle corroborated the report, revealing that Ekpa is currently detained at Kylmäkoski Prison, a high-security facility in Vanhamaantie, Akaa, Finland, known as one of the toughest prisons globally.
With Finnish authorities maintaining a firm stance on the matter, Ekpa is likely to remain in detention through the Christmas and New Year holidays.
