2027: Go and rest, no vacancy in Aso Rock – Joe Igbokwe tells Atiku, Obi, others

Joe Igbokwe, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has advised those aspiring for the presidency in 2027 to abandon their plans.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe emphasized that President Bola Tinubu would retain his position in Aso Rock beyond 2027, asserting there would be no room for a new leader.

He wrote, “To those plotting and dreaming of 2027, I advise you to rest. There is no vacancy in Aso Rock until President Tinubu finishes addressing the massive challenges Nigeria has faced for years. The country is being rebuilt to function effectively again.”

Igbokwe’s remarks come amidst rumors that Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the last election, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party are considering forming an alliance to challenge Tinubu’s leadership in 2027.
