Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has cautioned that Satan is real and capable of enthroning leaders, warning that such leaders are destined to fail.
Speaking during a Zoom program titled “Boiling Point Arena,” hosted by a radio station in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Sunday night, Obasanjo asserted that most leaders are divinely prepared by God but acknowledged the possibility of satanic influence in leadership.
He remarked, “Most leaders are prepared and put in place by God, and when that happens, their chances of success are much higher than those who impose themselves as leaders, which may not be God’s will.”
Obasanjo, however, rejected the notion that all leaders are made by God. “A leader can also be made by Satan,” he said, referencing the biblical story of Job where Satan, despite his power, tested Job under God’s observation.
The former president emphasized the reality of Satan’s power, cautioning that it should not be underestimated. “Satan is real and has power, though he offers no salvation. His influence must not be underrated,” Obasanjo added.
