BREAKING: Six-year single-term proposal for President, Governors fails in Reps

A proposed bill to limit the tenure of the President and Governors to a single six-year term has been rejected by the House of Representatives.

Sponsored by Ikenga Ugochinyere and others, the bill was debated on Thursday before lawmakers dismissed it.

The rejected constitutional amendment aimed to revise the 1999 Constitution to shorten the lawmakers’ tenure.
