US: Kamala Harris vows to legalise marijuana if elected president

Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States and Democratic Party candidate, has vowed to legalize recreational marijuana if she is elected president.

Additionally, she has pledged to create opportunities for Americans to thrive in the marijuana industry.

Harris made this announcement in a recent statement on her X account, saying, “I will legalize recreational marijuana, dismantle unjust legal barriers, and open doors for all Americans to succeed in this emerging industry.”

She is set to face former President Donald Trump of the Republican Party in the upcoming election.

Harris became the Democratic candidate after President Joe Biden stepped aside in July and endorsed her.

Numerous American celebrities, including Beyoncé, Cardi B, Olivia Rodrigo, and Ariana Grande, have expressed their support for Kamala Harris’s presidential bid.
