Rivers crisis: I met dead system, need more power – Fubara

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has revealed that his administration inherited a dysfunctional system when he took office.

Speaking at the 18th anniversary of Omega Power Ministries and Chibuzor Chinyere’s 51st birthday, Fubara emphasized the need for prayers to help him gain the strength to serve the people effectively.

Fubara stated, “Those of us observing from outside recognize your contributions to humanity. Many of our schools are no longer operational and failing to provide adequate training.

“We found ourselves facing a dead system that we are striving to revitalize, and you are making strides as an individual, so it’s clear God will bless you.

“I seek greater strength for the advancement of Rivers State and to defend humanity within it.

“What we ask of you is simple: continue praying for us to stay focused, as we know the devil seeks to undermine those in power. Your prayers are crucial for achieving the goals of governance in Rivers State.”

Fubara’s relationship with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has been marked by ongoing disputes over state control.
