In a statement issued on Friday in Lagos, Ogunlola explained that the vehicles were confiscated during a thorough enforcement operation conducted around the Iyana Ipaja garage and nearby roads.
She noted that the operation targeted both inbound and outbound traffic.
“During this enforcement effort, 57 commercial vehicles and tricycles were apprehended for various traffic violations, such as illegal parking and picking up passengers at unauthorized locations, which caused traffic disruptions.
“This operation successfully alleviated the congestion caused by these violations, restored smooth traffic flow, and reinforced adherence to traffic regulations,” she said.
