Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has stated that only God can resolve the crisis in Rivers State. In a post on X, Sani remarked, “Rivers State has been left in the hands of God to solve the problem.”
Rivers State has been facing political turmoil since Governor Sim Fubara took office. A power struggle has ensued between Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, over who holds political control in the state.
This conflict has resulted in the emergence of two rival speakers, Martin Amaewhule and Victor Oko-Jumbo. An earlier attempt by President Bola Tinubu to mediate the situation did not produce the desired outcome.
