Retired Court of Appeal Justice, Ahmad Olarewaju Belgore, has passed away, as confirmed by a family source. The esteemed jurist died on Tuesday night at his residence in Ilorin after breaking his Ramadan fast.
Justice Belgore concluded his service as an Appeal Court Justice on April 18, 2023, upon reaching the age of 70.
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, expressed deep sorrow over Justice Ahmad Olarenwaju Belgore’s demise, describing it as a significant loss to the Ilorin Emirate and the nation as a whole.
In his response to the sad news, conveyed through his spokesperson, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir remarked, “This is a profound and immense loss for the Ilorin Emirate and humanity in general.”
