In the face of ongoing economic challenges in the country, the Federal Government claimed on Wednesday that President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda is already showing positive outcomes. Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, asserted this during a gathering in Kano where media executives and practitioners were hosted for an “Iftar” event by his ministry.
Idris encouraged Nigerians to maintain faith in the current administration as it endeavors to tackle the nation’s issues. He highlighted the introduction of policies and programs aimed at improving the welfare of citizens, urging trust and confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership for successful implementation.
Specifically, Idris mentioned efforts to revive the nation’s refineries, assuring that the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt Refinery is nearing completion, with production set to resume. He criticized the mismanagement of the Central Bank of Nigeria by its previous leadership and praised Tinubu’s administration for restoring its integrity through appropriate policies.
“The positive outcomes of Mr. President’s renewed hope agenda are becoming evident,” he stated, expressing optimism about the gradual revival of the nation’s economy and the eventual resolution of its challenges.
Idris urged journalists to maintain objectivity in their reporting of government policies and programs aimed at advancing the nation’s progress.
