African Games 2023: Egypt maintain lead as Nigeria, South Africa make top 10

Egypt currently leads the medal standings at the ongoing All African Games in Ghana.

As of Wednesday morning, Egypt continues to dominate the medal table, showcasing remarkable performances across various disciplines such as table tennis, wrestling, and swimming.

The North African nation has secured top honors in both the men’s and women’s categories, firmly establishing themselves at the top of the medal standings.

Egypt maintains its position at number one with a total of 165 medals (92 gold, 40 silver, and 33 bronze) thus far.

Following Egypt is Nigeria, holding the second position with 85 medals (31 gold, 22 silver, and 32 bronze).

The top five positions are occupied by Nigeria, South Africa, Algeria, and Tunisia.

Host nation Ghana currently occupies the sixth position on the medal standings.

Completing the top 10 on the list are Mauritius, Eritrea, Morocco, and Ethiopia.
