According to Atiku, the current federal government has a shameful history of neglecting transparency and proper procedures in public administration. The unresolved scandal involving the $3.3 billion NNPC loan repayment, which now demands $12 billion repayment from Nigeria, is a prominent example.
The Tinubu administration needs to transparently handle these prominent corruption cases. The National Assembly, as the elected representatives of the people, have a constitutional duty to legislate for the peace, order, and effective governance of our nation, without aligning with corrupt individuals. Failing to do so and persisting in denial will only confirm the government’s involvement in official misconduct. -AA
