Kodak Black, the well-known American rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was apprehended in South Florida on charges of cocaine possession, evidence tampering, and violating his existing probation. The 26-year-old artist was found asleep in a Bentley at approximately 3 a.m. in Plantation, according to a police statement.
Following his arrest, Kodak Black was taken into custody at Broward County jail. However, reports from NBC Miami indicated that he posted bail on Thursday night.
It is noteworthy that in January 2021, former U.S. President Donald Trump granted clemency to Kodak Black, commuting his 46-month prison sentence for providing false information on federal forms to purchase firearms. Previously, the rapper had served a seven-month term in a Florida prison for charges including marijuana possession, child neglect, grand theft of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Kodak Black has a history of legal issues, having faced charges such as weapons possession, armed robbery, sexual assault, probation violations, and evading officers.
