Socio-political commentator Aisha Yesufu has raised questions about the academic background of President Bola Tinubu. Yesufu directed her query to Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, urging him to encourage the president to visit his alma mater.
This comes in response to a video posted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who visited the primary school he attended in Jada, Adamawa State. Atiku shared the visit on social media, expressing nostalgia for his time at Central Primary School, Jada.
In her post, Yesufu called on Onanuga to focus on getting Tinubu to visit his alma mater, emphasizing the importance of such visits. The controversy over President Tinubu’s academic records, including claims that he did not attend some of the listed institutions, has been ongoing. Notably, there have been disputes over his connection to Chicago State University (CSU), with the university asserting that Tinubu was admitted and graduated from the institution.
