Bruno Onyemaechi has received the green light to participate in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Lesotho on Thursday. Initially considered doubtful for the game following his substitution in the second half of Boavista’s 3-1 home loss to CD Feirense last weekend, Onyemaechi underwent separate training from his Super Eagles teammates during their initial practice session on Tuesday.
Nevertheless, in a positive turn of events, he fully participated in training on Wednesday night, dispelling concerns about his fitness. The 24-year-old defender, who has already made three appearances for Nigeria, is now poised to potentially add to his international caps in the forthcoming match against Lesotho’s Crocodiles.
