Roy Keane, the Manchester United legend, has expressed his concern for midfielder Christian Eriksen following the Danish international’s struggles against Manchester City.
Keane believes that Eriksen’s performance symbolized Manchester United’s lack of physicality during their 3-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday. It’s worth noting that Man City delivered a dominant performance with Erling Haaland scoring twice and Phil Foden adding another goal to secure a victory over the Red Devils.
When analyzing Man City’s third goal, Keane pointed out Eriksen’s involvement in the build-up, highlighting how the former Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan star allowed Rodri to take a shot on goal without putting up much resistance.
“United is in trouble there; look at Eriksen,” Keane remarked, expressing his concern about the physical aspect of United’s game. “That is my worry, the physical side of the game for United. I understand that the players have been working hard and are fatigued during the season when you’re watching, but you can’t allow opponents to stroll past you.”
