Mohbad did not want Naira Marley, Sam Larry to kill me – Mother opens up

Abosede, the mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, who was widely known as Mohbad, stated during the Coroner’s Inquest on Wednesday that her son was trying to protect her from potential harm by his former label boss, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and Naira Marley’s associate, Sam Larry.

She explained that Mohbad was frequently harassed by Naira Marley, and he lived in constant fear. She mentioned that he always talked about Naira Marley and Sammy Larry and appeared quite distressed. Abosede also revealed that she had requested to speak with them on several occasions, but Mohbad had refused, expressing concerns that they might harm her.

She further disclosed that after one of his shows, Mohbad mentioned that Naira Marley had physically confronted him. He reported this incident to the police, although she was unsure whether the police had invited Naira Marley for questioning.

Mohbad’s death occurred under circumstances that have raised questions and controversy on September 12, 2023.
