Governor Abdullahi Sule has refuted claims that he ordered the arrest of two individuals who shouted “two months to go” at him while he was leaving Kini Country Home in Akwanga. A Facebook user had alleged that the governor instructed the arrest of these two Kini Country Home employees for their remarks.
In response to these allegations, the Governor’s Media Personal Assistant, Emmanuel Innocent Akwe, dismissed them as mere opposition propaganda. He stressed that the law upholds freedom of speech, allowing individuals to express their opinions as long as they do not engage in slander or defamation.
Akwe encouraged the people of Nasarawa not to be concerned about the distractions originating from the opposition. He assured that the governor remains focused and undeterred. Akwe also emphasized the governor’s resilience in the face of continuous attacks and schemes against him, stating that Sule would utilize these challenges as building blocks for the state’s progress.
He urged the governor’s supporters to remain patient and expressed confidence in a favorable outcome in any legal appeals.
