President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has designated a group of individuals to work in the Media and Publicity Directorate of the Office of the President. The announcement, which was endorsed by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, listed the new appointees as follows:
Mr. Fela Durotoye – Senior Special Assistant to the President for National Values & Social Justice
Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo – Senior Special Assistant to the President for Public Engagement
Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe – Senior Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Communications
Mr. Aliyu Audu – Special Assistant to the President for Public Affairs
Mr. Francis Adah Abah – Personal Assistant to the President for Special Duties
In addition, the President has approved the secondment of Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe to serve as the Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
The President has instructed all new appointees in the Media and Publicity Directorate to maintain the highest standards of respect and professionalism in their interactions with the public. They are tasked with furthering the President’s commitment to reinvigorate the hopes of Nigerians within a restructured economy and a unified society that adequately addresses the needs of all.
These appointments were made in accordance with Nigeria’s federal character principle and the principle of merit.
