Saudi Arabia boss unveils 31-man squad for Super Eagles friendly

The head coach of Saudi Arabia, Roberto Mancini, has announced a 31-player squad for their upcoming friendly matches against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The encounter with the Super Eagles is scheduled to take place in Portimao, Portugal on Friday, October 13. This match will mark the second meeting between the Saudi Arabian team and the three-time African champions.

In addition to the Nigeria friendly, the Saudi Arabian team has another friendly fixture scheduled against the Eagles of Mali, also in Portimao on October 17. These friendlies are a part of Mancini’s strategy to prepare his team for the 2023 Asian Cup, which is set to be held in Qatar in January.

Saudi Arabia has been placed in Group F for the 2023 Asian Cup, alongside Oman, Kyrgyzstan, and Thailand.
