South Africa’s Bafana Bafana are gearing up for their 2026 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria with two friendly matches against Côte d’Ivoire and Eswatini in October.
The friendlies will give head coach Hugo Broos a chance to experiment with different lineups and tactics, as well as assess the fitness of his players.
Côte d’Ivoire is a strong African team, while Eswatini is a weaker opponent. However, both matches will be a good test for Bafana Bafana, especially considering that Nigeria is a tough team to beat.
Nigeria is also expected to play a friendly match against Saudi Arabia in October. This match will also be a good test for the Super Eagles, as Saudi Arabia is a strong Asian team.
The friendlies in October will be a good opportunity for both South Africa and Nigeria to prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
